New Protests Against Mexican Repression

Mexico, May 15 (Prensa Latina) Mobilizations will renew in Mexico to obtain the release of all those arrested during the police repression of popular protests, representatives from over 20 Mexican organizations announced Monday.

The Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN) also informed of a simultaneous national and international campaign.

This is an ethical and moral commitment for us and we are not going to stop until they all are free, EZLN Sub Commander Marcos declared during an event at a capital university this weekend.

Over 190 people were arrested on May 4 when riot forces repressed popular protests in San Salvador Atenco and Texcoco, both in the state of Mexico.

Confrontations between residents and police and agents became violent on the morning of May 3, when police attempted to evict flower sellers from Texcoco.
